At Summit Christian Center, we are passionate about helping you encounter the truth of Jesus through the pages of Scripture. The Bible is our foundation for faith and life.


Through relevant, biblical teaching, we help people understand and apply Scripture to their everyday lives. God's Word guides us, encourages us, and transforms us from the inside out.

Our Mission

A church mission is simply the church’s purpose and reason for existing. Summit Christian Center exists to introduce people to Jesus. We have a desire to bring people to Jesus and allow them the opportunity to make a decision to serve and follow Him. We accomplish this by living out our 5 values:


We do not go to church; We are the Church

Summit Christian Center in not a building located in Tacoma. It is a community of believers who are passionate about serving God, showing Jesus’ love to everything and being a light in dark places. Church does not happen on Sunday but everyday.


We will do ANYTHING short of sin to reach people far from God

Summit Christian Center recognizes that everyone needs Jesus. Sometimes that requires some creativity, faith and boldness. We understand that sometimes we will need to think outside the box in order to have the oppurtunity to share Jesus with someone.


We will have fun as we share the greatest message with the world

Summit Christian Center serves a jouyful God and we are called to spread His Message of the Gospel. Why would we not have fun doing this? Everything we do is for His glory.


We will be generous contributors

Summit Christian Center understands we have been blessed and want to bless others. We would not be where we are today without God providing for our needs. Because of this, we desire to bless those in need.


We will pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on us

Summit Christian Center is a church that believes in the power of prayer and God’s ability to respond to those prayers. He does listen to each one and will respond by our faith in Him. We believe when we combine prayer and hard work, God will move.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Gospel

    We believe that the Gospel of Christ is the hope of the world, and it's the heart of the church to bring that hope to others. This belief is the foundation of our church and informs all we preach, teach, and practice (John 3:16, Matthew 5:14).

  • The Bible

    The Bible is to be the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. We use God’s Word as our main source for discovering God’s character and nature, as well as, to guide us in our thinking, beliefs and actions (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  • Jesus

    We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23), in His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26), in His miracles (Acts 2:22), in His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3), in His bodily resurrection (Matthew 28:6), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9), and in His personal, future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations (Titus 2:12-13).

  • Sin & Salvation

    We believe that "all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) The only means of being cleansed of sin is repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9).

  • Ordinances

    We believe in two ordinances of the church, water baptism by immersion (Mark 16:16), and holy communion (Matthew 26:26) to remember Jesus’ sacrifice and gift of salvation through His death and resurrection (Luke 22:19-20).

  • Holy Spirit

    We believe in the in the third member of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14). His main purpose transform those who make Jesus their Lord and Savior by empowering and equipping them to live a holy life (1 Peter 1:15-16.

  • Christ’s Return

    We believe in the blessed hope (Titus 2:13), the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting from God (Matthew 25:46).
